"UP"
The track is transcribed in the original key, C Sharp Minor, and uses four basic major and minor chords C♯m A G♯m F♯m. It creates a downward progression.
"Up" is a fast-tempo song composed with a straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats but do it softly.
A twelve-note scale and a metered sheet music isn't capable to express the sound of "Up" with its layered vocal and inflections of electronic instruments.
The left-hand texture is thick and makes great use of the bass register. You can play the riff from the intro throughout the track.
The right hand imitates the vocal delivery by Karina: a predominant vocal style is staccato. The second verse (rapping) uses unpitched vocal, but I arranged it in stepwise downward motion.
Focus on precise rhythm in the rap part. It is tiring to play with forte touch; play pianissimo.
I added an ossia staff for important ad lib in the coda, don't play it, it's for singers.
The melody is build to surprise a listener, to attract and retain attention. It has a rapid flow with sudden changes of direction, expressive pauses, a recitative style.
The aesthetic value of a track is based on development and coherency.
