Albania for Eurovision 2025.
They did a genius decision to release the track as soon as possible in 2024 because in a crowd of power ballads they would be lost. The track was planned for transcription since then but the recited part was too hard (I don't speak Albanian and they don't sing all vowels) so I procrastinated till the Eurovision month. Sorry!
Please, notice that there are two files: for duo with voice and solo piano. I honestly see more appeal in the duet score and only playing the vocal from the chorus. A twelve-note scale and a metered sheet music isn't capable to express the sound of “Zjerm” with its layered vocal and digitally generated inflections.
The track is transcribed in the original key, C Minor, and have atonal verses as well as harmonized chorus.
“Zjerm” is composed with straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats.
I doubled note values to make sightreading easier for beginners.
Avoid learning both hands together in the very beginning; you will fail immediately and abandon the score.
The predominant vocal articulation is tenuto in the chorus and staccato in the verses.
Focus on precise rhythm in the rap part. Rap is tiring to play with forte touch; play pianissimo.
The recited parts are of an indefinite pitch, I transcribed them as I pleased to attract attention with a pretty melody.
Much of the song’s aesthetic value is generated through experimental novelty.
