👧🏻 Sick of sheet music being inaccurate and unplayable?

Hi, I am Rita. I transcribe piano scores for pop music with minimal technical demand as close to the original as possible. Sheet music for songs have lyrics and harmonic chords on.

😔 Due to the copyright holder's pricing policy, the minimum price of the sheet music is $3.

🎹 Notice there are two files attached: one solo piano in the original key and one in a simple key for kids with no significant technical difficulties. Original lyrics and harmony chords are included in the sheet music. Structural parts are separated by a double bar line (‖).

💽 I attached an mp3 file as well.

🗝️ The track is transcribed in the original key D Flat Major (and simplified for kids in G Major).

🔠 There are two different harmonic loops:

• D♭ G♭ A♭
• E♭ₘ D♭ G♭

The cyclical chord change (loop) creates backdrop against the intense melody. Memorize the loop.

All chords are power chords as it was in fashion back in the days when The Cars, who composed the song, were active.

Pedal as little as possible to push the melody forward.

🙅🏼 Avoid learning both hands together; you will fail immediately and abandon the score. Add fingering in dense places. Work on hardest parts more.

🥁 “Magic” is composed with a straight rhythm in the common time. Tempo is 120 beats per minute. The bpm number is high, it is not uncommon for modern music. Start learning at half speed.

Accent strong beats.

🖐🏼 The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Hailee Steinfeld: the predominant articulation is staccato. Wherever you see a slur on Oh-oh (♪⁀♪), play the second slurred note very quietly.

🤚🏼 The left-hand provides a chordal accompaniment. Keep the upper notes (by the thumb) lighter.

🥈 The second voice can be omitted by beginners.
