Russia for Eurovision Song Contest 2010.
The track is transcribed in the original key, A Minor, transitioned to C Minor back and forth. Amazing songwriting and harmonization. The sound is unique: very Russian but accessible to European ears due to repetition of short consequences and high cadentiality of phrases.
The vocals are typed one octave higher than Peter Nalitch sang. Sing one octave lower.
“Lost And Forgotten” is composed with somewhat swinged rhythm in the duple compound time 6/8. Clearly accent strong beats.
Avoid learning both hands together in the very beginning; you will fail immediately and abandon the score.
The left-hand maintains movement with broken chords.
The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Peter Nalitch: the predominant articulation is tenuto.
In slurred passages, descending inflections are played diminuendo >, but ascending vocal portamento are played crescendo <. Be expressive, the second verse has two recitative phrases, you can omit playing them.
Much of the song’s aesthetic value is generated through dissonance that adds movement and tension.
